About Miss Jr Chef

Hello and Welcome to my site

I have made this web site for all the kids who love to cook. If you are one of us, you should not be scared or embarrassed, even if your dish didn't turn out very well. Don't give up because I, have goofed up dishes but kept on cooking.

This web site is for kids only,  but parents can learn by helping your kids.

WARNING! Kids, DO NOT go in the kitchen and cook WITHOUT your parents supervision!!!! This is very important because bad things can happen when a child is loose in the kitchen by themselves.

We will be cooking many recipes.  I will have video's demonstrating cooking techniques
(tek neeks) along with guest chefs and more.

One of the first things you will  need to know is what the names are for the tools that chefs use.
You can see a partial list with pictures on my "tool" page.

Cooking Tips and Tricks

1. Make sure your kitchen is clean.

2. Make sure you gather all your ingredients.

3. Make sure you have your vegetables washed.

4. If you are cooking meat, rinse it then pat it dry with a paper towel. This helps the meat to brown nicely.

5. Make sure you have washed your hands in warm soapy water! You must continue to wash your hands each time you handle meat or when they get messy.

6. If you are using onions, you can put them in the freezer about 30 minutes before you cut them so that you will not cry over your food.
